KD dance designs have a different touch, a different feel due to the innovative light-sweater knit fabric. First created in 1980, this fabric was the beginning of a new kind of comfortable: sleek, lightweight, luxuriously paper-thin sweater shorts, capris, pants, tops and bodysuits that hug the body in a way that no other fabric can.

The inventive knit is created by twisting two yarns together at our manufacturing facility in New York. The result is a genius stretch cotton with just enough Lycra to create a flattering silhouette and a body-hugging factor that won’t wash away. Other designs are made from uber-light nylon or acrylic knits with a micro-fine weave that yields an unheard of softness and sheen.
